Brief Introduction about SAES
"An integral education which could, with some variations, be adapted to all the nations of the world, must bring back the legitimate authority of the Spirit over a matter fully developed and utilised. – The Mother"
Sri Aurobindo Education Society (SAES) embodies an ethos of integral education, aligning with the words of The Mother: education that nourishes the spirit as much as the mind, empowering each individual to realize their highest potential.
Founded in 1964, the Sri Aurobindo Education Society (SAES) is dedicated to nurturing future generations in the practice of living a life rooted in love, peace, joy, and fulfillment—a life that is both meaningful to individuals and beneficial to the world around them.
One of SAES’s earliest and most prominent initiatives is The Mother's International School (The MIS). Today, The MIS is home to around 2,400 students and is widely recognized as one of India’s top educational institutions. Known for its academic excellence and holistic, value-based education, The MIS has consistently ranked among the top schools in national surveys by C-Fore, Outlook India, and The Times of India from 2021 to 2025. In recognition of its academic excellence, the school was awarded the distinction of achieving the highest average score in the CBSE Senior Secondary Examination in 2014.
Another unique initiative by SAES is Mirambika—Free Progress School, founded in 1981. With a strength of around 150 students, Mirambika is known for its progressive educational approach. It has received national recognition as a leading innovative school, including being ranked India’s No. 1 Day School for Life Skills Education, Conflict Management, and Individual Attention to Students by the Education World India School Rankings.
